I am a creative, proactive professional with a strong background in private and public services sectors. I deliver strategies and management to achieve engagement and impact.
My work is about people, relationships, understanding your audience and stakeholders. I have developed sponsorship opportunities, campaigns and created events for corporate clients and membership organisations. Recently I focused on developing networks, supporting communities, managing volunteers as well as mobilise individuals to get more involved.
Now I provide freelance engagement strategies and management for small businesses and consultants. I specialise in creating tailored content marketing expertise, social media management and engagement through events, networks and activity. I can deliver the big thinking, the evaluation plus monitor the the practical day to day stuff.
I have designed and delivered a variety of events from small workshops to major conferences, I have hired trains for a full days corporate client development and sustained regular networks. I can deliver and facilitate workshops, lectures, debates and forums.
Prior to this I was a senior Executive Assistant at board level, liaising with directors and Trustees. I worked for a number of corporate organisations in London, Birmingham and Manchester including Bank of New York, Citibank, Richard Ellis, Chesterton, King Sturge. I also worked freelance as an Executive PA which provided great experience to develop my people and delivery skills.
I have studied volunteer engagement and arts marketing with ILM and CIMA. Originally from London, I now live in Stockport, South Manchester with my husband, Jim and our dogs.

Freelance administration services provider focused on three core areas, enagement (social media, events & activity), content marketing and virtual assistant administration.
2000 – 2017
During this period I undertook a number of roles with the RSA. Key achievements included developing a volunteer engagement strategy, managing stakeholder relationships and develop strategic partnerships with the Society. I managed a team of 6 providing operational and communication support for RSA members across the UK. We delivered and supported over 300 events annually across the whole of the UK.
1995 – 1998
For several years I worked with Eversheds in their Birmingham office responsible for their corporate sponsorship and events programmes. Managing an events budget of £100k I developed activities for clients that were engaging and effective. A mix of small unique events to major conferences.

Long & Ferguson is a partnership. Along with my administration, engagement skills Jim provides additional resources focused on finances. A trained management account with many years experience as a senior Finance Director Jim advises on financial strategy and long-term planning, financial project management, forecasting, accounting and corporate fundraising. Jim has experience of strategic business review plus cash flow and reporting, asset management, business planning, management controls, eCommerce consultancy, review accounting systems. Jim can undertake business financial planning, prepare invoices and chase outstanding payments.
